Julie was born in Pasadena, Texas on December 16, 1970. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1993. While at Centenary, she was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, and was named Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges. In 1996, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Law Center. Ms. Steed is a member of the American Bar Association; the Louisiana State Bar Association;(member: Committee on Codes of Lawyer & Judicial Conduct, 2002-2004); the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, the Mariner's Club for the Port of New Orleans; and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts, Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and all Louisiana state courts.  Ms. Kammer is married and the mother of one daughter.
