SARA P. SCURLOCK, a Louisiana native, was born in Houma, Louisiana in 1980. Sara received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in English, from the University of Southern Mississippi in December 2001. While at Southern Miss, she was a member of the University Honors College, Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key, Order of Omega., Delta Gamma Fraternity, and the Student Government Association. In 2005, Sara earned a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, where she was awarded a certificate in Civil Law. While in law school, Sara clerked with the Tulane Law School Civil Litigation Clinic, which provides pro bono representation to indigent clients. Upon graduating, she worked as a contract attorney for the firm of Irwin, Fritchie, Urquhart & Moore, LLC in New Orleans. A member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association, Sara is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
